This automated workflow follows a simple, yet powerful sequence:
Initiate this workflow manually with a click, or configure it to run automatically on a schedule, such as the first day of each month, providing flexibility for your needs.
Connect your Google Sheets account with the necessary credentials and select the spreadsheet containing your SEO keywords. The “Top queries” column is crucial, as it holds the keywords.
A function node extracts the keywords from the “Top queries” column and transforms them into an array, preparing the data for the Google Ads API request.
The HTTP Request node connects to the Google Ads API, requiring you to input your Google Ads credentials, customer ID, and developer token. This node then retrieves search volume data for each keyword.
A Split Out node separates the API response data by keyword, enabling easier management and processing of individual keyword results.
The workflow appends or updates the Google Sheet with the search volume metrics for each keyword.
To get started, you’ll need:
Permissions to access data from your Google Sheets account.
Access a Google Ads Test Account and its Customer ID for API use.
Permissions to access and manage your Google Ads account.
Access a Google Ads Developer Token for for account management.
